“Start with God…Be one in Christ…Preach the Gospel…Teach Truth”*

“I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.

John 17:20-23 ESV

Biblical Unity Council

A team of CCS parents and staff initially identified and approved by the school board and superintendent to offer a place for people to be heard. The Biblical Unity Council is committed to addressing sensitive issues relating to race, social justice, and diversity through the lens of biblical truth.

Specifically, the Biblical Unity Council will serve as an advisory committee to the CCS administration and School Board. Subcommittees will be formed to review the school’s handbooks, curriculum, marketing, and communications. The Biblical Unity Council will assist with advocating for a diverse body of students, families, and faculty and organizing events to celebrate and educate our school about our diversity. Biblical Unity Director, Darin Lewis, has been appointed to serve in a staff position to assist with these endeavors.

With our tapestry of ethnicities, nationalities, Christian faith traditions, financial means, and academic abilities, CCS truly desires to be united as one body of believers. The Gospel of Jesus Christ binds us together. We celebrate and support all differences that make us who we are, but it is imperative that we do not let those differences divide or separate us. We commit to love and value our peers, colleagues, and friends as image-bearers of Almighty God.
