“I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me… that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you… so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”

John 17:20-21 ESV

Biblical Unity Council

One Human Race, Many Beautiful Stories

What happens when people from diverse backgrounds, church traditions, and life experiences come together in one school? At CCS, that’s not just a question—it’s our daily reality. The Biblical Unity Council (BUC) exists to ensure we’re not merely coexisting, but actively thriving together as one unified community.

Who We Are

The BUC is a team of CCS parents and staff who engage with significant topics such as race, social justice, and diversity. We don’t follow trends or popular opinion. We anchor our approach in Scripture, believing God’s Word provides essential guidance for how his people should treat one another.

Our foundation is simple: there is one human race, beginning with Adam and Eve. The many ethnicities, cultures, and backgrounds seen in our halls are no accident—they reflect God’s creativity and glory. But Christ didn’t just acknowledge our differences. He came to bring unity through those differences.

Our Mission

To foster unity within the school community by grounding our efforts in biblical truth, valuing all as image-bearers of God, and emphasizing the unifying power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

What We Do

  • Advisory Role: We collaborate with school leadership, offering a biblical lens on sensitive issues and providing space for authentic dialogue.
  • Event Planning: We organize activities that spotlight the unique experiences and contributions of our students, staff, and families.
  • Bridge Building: The director of biblical unity connects the BUC to CCS staff, helping ensure biblical unity isn’t just a concept—it’s a daily practice that shapes school culture.

Why It Matters

God doesn’t show favoritism based on race, status, or denomination—and neither should we. What sets the Christian approach apart is our belief that lasting change begins with transformed hearts, not just policies or movements.

At CCS, we don’t erase differences or pretend everyone is the same. We seek to reflect the Trinity: distinct yet unified. We’re practicing now what Revelation 7:9 describes—“a great multitude…from every nation, from all tribes and people and languages” worshiping together in harmony.
