Enrollment Process

We are so excited that you have chosen to join the CCS family! Below, find an outline of our admissions process.

International students should begin here.

Age requirements for early education:

  • Preschool children must be 3 years old by August 1 of the enrolling school year.
  • Prekindergarten children must be at least 4 years old by August 1 of the enrolling school year.
  • Kindergarten students must be 5 years old by August 1 of the enrolling school year.

Step 1: Application

  • Create an account to fill out the online application.

  • You will need to upload the student’s birth certificate, student’s recent report card, unofficial transcript (grades 9–12), and the Records Request Form (grades 1–12).

  • Email the online pastoral reference form to be completed before scheduling your interview.
  • Pay the non-refundable application fee ($100.00 per student).

Step 2: An admissions test will be administered to all students from kindergarten-12th grade.

  • The administrative assistant to the elementary principal will call to schedule testing for all students from kindergarten through 6th Grade. Kindergarten testing is held on one Saturday in April and May then as needed throughout the year.
  • The admissions office will call to schedule testing for all students in 7th through 12th Grades. Results of the test and other academic criteria will be evaluated to determine the student’s eligibility for acceptance. This information will also be used for class placement.

Step 3: Interview

  •  Prekindergarten – 6th Grade: You will be contacted to schedule your interview with the elementary campus principal. For elementary students, the interview is with parents only.
  • 7th – 12th Grades: You will be contacted to schedule your interview with the JH/SH campus principal; this interview is with parents and students. The purpose of the interview is to discuss expectations regarding conduct, academics, and spiritual life at Cincinnati Christian Schools.

Step 4: After Acceptance

  • You will receive an acceptance enrollment packet email from the admissions department that must be completed within a week. The enrollment packet will also direct you to set up your FACTS tuition payment plan. Teacher assignments and course schedules will not occur until after the packet is completed. 
  • Contact your local school district to schedule transportation if necessary.

Kindergarten

  • Prospective kindergarten students must be 5 years old by August 1st.
  • All prospective kindergarten students will be administered the “KDI” (Kindergarten Diagnostic Instrument).
  • Should this test indicate that a prospective kindergarten student requires further development; the elementary principal may recommend enrolling in the prekindergarten program.

Preschool

  • No testing is necessary for admittance into our preschool classes.
  • Prekindergarten children must be 3 years old by August 1st.

Prekindergarten

  • No testing is necessary for admittance into our prekindergarten classes.
  • Prekindergarten children must be at least 4 years old by August 1st.

Deadlines

The filing deadline for financial aid or participation in the work program is April 30th or until budgeted funds have been exhausted or the work program has been fully staffed. After reviewing all applications, financial aid will be awarded beginning in May.
