Strengths Mitch brings to the board: Mitch Edwards brings a unique combination of leadership, financial expertise, and a heart for Christian education to the CCS School Board. With extensive experience in wealth management and portfolio oversight as First Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at Morgan Stanley, Mitch offers strategic insight and strong financial stewardship to support the school’s long-term growth. His commitment to Christian values and family-centered education ensures that decisions are guided by both faith and a desire to cultivate a nurturing, academically rigorous environment. Mitch also brings a collaborative spirit and a passion for community impact, working alongside faculty, staff, and fellow board members to advance CCS’s mission of preparing students to follow Christ and thrive spiritually, academically, and socially.

Personal testimony: Mitch was raised in the Bible Belt of North Carolina by two believing parents and grandparents who faithfully modeled a life centered on Christ. Whether attending church with his parents or his grandparents, faith was a constant and formative presence in his life. He accepted Jesus as his Savior and was baptized at the age of ten, a moment he still remembers clearly. While his walk with Christ has not been perfect, Mitch shares that the Holy Spirit has been a faithful and patient guide, continually drawing him toward repentance, growth, and correction. He has always carried a childlike faith, recognizing God’s hand in orchestrating his life. Deeply grateful for the spiritual foundation laid by his family, Mitch counts it a blessing that his own children now attend a Christian school where their faith can be nurtured and strengthened during these crucial years of growth and maturity.
