Band Program

The band program is designed to develop a passion for music and performance. Starting in the grade 5, students have the opportunity to learn the basics of brass, percussion, and woodwinds. Their skills are grown and honed through learning and mastering more challenging music, receiving additional practice, and keeping one another accountable. Through their membership and performance, students become outstanding musicians and better leaders and servants.

Junior/Senior High Band opportunities at CCS include, but are not limited to:

  • Concert Band
  • Pep Band
  • Jazz Ensemble
  • Orchestra Ensemble
  • Orchestra Pit at Spring Theatre performances
  • All-Star Honor Band opportunities (for chosen band student representatives)
  • OMEA-sanctioned music event opportunities

Elementary Band opportunities:

  • Annual Christmas concert and Spring concert
